New director for Wycliffe Switzerland

A page is turned

Namely an original page from the Froschauer Zurich Bible printed in 1560! This page was given to the outgoing leader as a thank you and to the incoming leader as a welcome. Thomas Deusch hands over the leadership to Peter Wilburg. Through his experience abroad in Chad, Thomas has long been concerned about the relationships with our project partners worldwide and he will be involved in this area in the future.

The new director

Peter Wilburg comes from South Africa and brings a lot of enthusiasm for the work and influence of Bible translation with him. The Bible, unreached peoples and a genuine life in fellowship with God are among his passions. He worked with YWAM for five years, where he was mainly involved in discipleship training, training events and mobilization. In 2009, he came to Switzerland and started at Wycliffe in 2012 in the personnel department.

In the fall of 2017, he completed his Master’s in Missiology (Bible and Mission), with the topic “The Impact of Praying the Psalms on Family Life in a Local Church Community.”

Peter is married to Mirjam and they have 4 children.
