Rebecca: During my studies (English and Musicology) I discovered my passion for linguistics and therefore decided to do a master's degree in linguistics (language and communication). At the same time, I completed a short-term assignment in Chad with Wycliffe in the summer of 2016 to help create a dictionary. This was followed by another assignment in Chad in 2018, as well as a year of further studies in Canada, and between 2020 and 2025 I worked from Switzerland for the Hadjeray project.
Clint: I’m from the US and completed a bachelor's degree in linguistics and a master's degree in Biblical Languages in Portland and Boston. Among other things, I also went to Israel to study Hebrew. In 2019 I went to Canada to get a master's degree in applied linguistics in order to specifically prepare for working with Wycliffe.
We met while studying linguistics in Canada and got married in 2020. Since then we have spent 5 years in Switzerland to improve our French (Clint) and to build a partnership with a church in French-speaking Switzerland. We also welcomed our daughter Noa Elise in 2022 and twin girls in March 2024 (Liora Aimee and Joana Shirel). In November 2025 we were able to relocate to Cameroon, where we currently serve with SIL in Linguistics and Bible Translation.
